Island Tales Workshops
|
This maritime literacy experience by BHI resident Sabina Bragg, PhD, perfectly blends a fun BHI focus with research-based learning. Children ages 5 to 14 enjoy island-centric sensory-based literacy activities and arts and crafts during the afternoon program. See the website for Workshop dates through July 22; the fee is $65/child per Workshop.

Me Time
|
Parents, want a safe, supervised, fun place where your children can enjoy a favorite book, play a game, learn a cool puzzle, and make a new friend while you relax with your morning coffee, go for a run, or play pickleball? We can help with our trained, caring, CPR- and First Aid-certified and licensed professional staff. Drop kiddos off at the school 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 till 6:30 p.m. The fee is $20/hour per child (ages 4 - 10): 910.294.6644.

Parent's Night Out Services
|
Planning a Date Night and need support? We have designed a thoughtful, engaging, interactive service that includes fun arts n’ crafts, island play, marine habitat exploration, and more. All of our activities are delivered by creative, vetted caregivers certified in CPR, First Aid, and Airborne Pathogens. The fee is $35/hour per child. Need support? Call us: 910.294.6644.

Scholastic Tutoring Services
|
Attention, parents of elementary, middle, and high school, as well as college, students in need of support in reading, writing, or math. Our expert education team can help your scholar over the summer break. Give us an hour and we’ll give your student a strategy for success, whether it’s basic addition or Calculus 1! Our hourly tutoring fees range from $60 - $120, depending on the course of study: 910.294.6644.

Maritime Play Activity Kits
|
Perfect for a rainy day (actually, any day!), these beautiful, customized kits designed by BHIA educators feature amazing indoor/outdoor fun activities focused on science, math, and reading. Drop by our Island Tales Shop inside the Academy to purchase these exciting kits.

Summer Enrichment Program
Treat your kids to the best island adventure (and enhance their academic edge too!). Our Summer Enrichment Program, staffed by caring, creative education, sports, and arts professionals and volunteers, delivers a customized academic component wrapped up in a full-day week-long island adventure. We provide learning support in
math, reading, spelling, science, history, and advocacy skills, as well as maritime habitat conservation.

Play activities include arts, wood shop,

Crossfit, archery, tennis, swimming, pickleball, golf, surfing lessons, and more. This summer camp for children ages 5 to 14 runs through September 8: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. (includes meals). The fee is $1200/week per child (one week minimum). BHIA Geocaching
Join the craze that’s part intrepid
explorer, part detective, part outdoor classroom! BHI Academy teachers and students have placed eye- (and mind-) opening treasures in nine strategic locations throughout the island. Drop by the school, grab a map from the door sleeve, and enjoy a free Adventure Walk around the island, compliments of BHI Academy.
