At Bald Head Island Academy (BHIA), we realize that high-standards teaching deserves a high-quality headquarters. The Academy recently acquired and upfitted a shared space for three teachers to live, brainstorm, create, and deploy the BHIA vision: Lifelong learning from–and for–our ecosystem.

Planting the seeds of knowledge in students takes time, energy, and creativity. The new Teachers HQ fits the bill. “This beautiful space is a wonderful benefit that allows educators like myself the room to be creatively inspired,” said BHIA Head of Curriculum and educator Sarah Tennant. “It shows that the school is serious about its commitment to deliver a rich and engaging academic program to students by providing for its educators in this way. I’m excited to be on this journey of building and providing a child-centric eco-educational program for the students of Bald Head Island.”
