Imagine a vacation that allows parents to have much-needed adult time while children enjoy safe and supervised island fun that is academically rich and robust. It’s happening on BHI! Bald Head Island Academy (BHIA), a private K through eighth grade school that emphasizes earth sciences and maritime preservation, is offering a goal-oriented academic maintenance program designed inside of an island play adventure.

BHIA’s innovative, child-centric summer enrichment program helps children retain (or improve!) their academic progress over the past year, regardless of where they attend school full-time. Our solid approach is intentionally designed to help close the learning gap caused by COVID-19 impacts. Thanks to the Academy, Bald Head Island can now offer vacationers a best-in-class summer solution for children ages K through eighth grade, delivered by certified, credentialed, caring educators.

- Different from other beach summer camps
