A Unique Giving Opportunity:
Investment Portfolio Items

We are providing donors a unique opportunity to share their wealth with BHI Academy. With the generous support of our financial partner RW Baird, we are now welcoming gifts of stocks, investment shares, land, homes, and legacy gifts, such as a named trust. Best of all, there are no costs or transaction fees, and donors will receive a tax deduction for their contributions to our nonprofit Foundation.

To discuss how to make your easy, no-fee, tax-deductible donation of investments to BHIA, contact BHI Academy’s investment advisor Cory Wessel at (919) 789-5975. We have a designated department available to help you.

BHI Academy has a future, thanks to generous donors like you. Contributing a gift of stocks, securities, and other appreciated assets can have multiple benefits: significant tax savings, a charitable deduction for the present fair market value, and a way to avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation, while still retaining some level of tax deductibility for your gift. Please note: Donor names do not always convey with the transfer. Contact Sheree Vaickus by calling 910.294.6644 or by email at Co-Sheree@bhiacademy.org to let us know that the gift is in process. Shares are often transferred into our account without information, including the donor’s name. Your email/phone call will allow us to match your name with the correct stock gift.
