Our teacher, fashionista Ms. Janie Becherer, is a marketing and fashion design major studying in Florence, Italy. She brings a wealth of knowledge about what’s hot on the global couture scene, technical skill, and creative panache to this exciting, hands-on experience.

The Pinocchio Project: A Puppetry Summer Camp

All the world’s a stage–and ours is inhabited by whimsical puppets! In this creative summer day camp, children will explore the art of puppet-making, crafting an ecosystem-based puppet project that brings to life the plants and animals of beautiful Bald Head Island. Campers will research their project, make the puppets, and perform. This camp perfectly unites left and right brain in a fun, stimulating arts adventure that will delight kids of all ages.
